METSS Wins N192-047 – “Mobile Recycling Facility”

This program focuses on the development of a mobile facility capable of recycling waste thermoplastics into useful plastic pellets and filaments at forward operating bases. The program will be supported by METSS’ extensive experience garnered from the successful development of a process to recycle rejected aircraft canopies to recover polycarbonate (SBIR AF95-149) and the subsequent founding of a commercial plastics recycling business, Geo-Tech Polymers, with a manufacturing facility capable of recycling 20 million pounds a year of optical grade polycarbonate.
